Detail Itinerary
Day 1 | Shana Zampa – Soi Thangthangkha
Begin the trek along the Paro River through forests of oak and rhododendron. Camp by the river surrounded by nature.
Day 2 | Soi Thangthangkha – Jangothang
Trek through yak pastures and traditional settlements. Reach Jangothang with stunning views of Mount Jomolhari.
Day 3 | Jangothang – Lingshi
Cross Nyile La Pass (4,890m) with panoramic mountain views. Descend to Lingshi valley.
Day 4 | Lingshi – Chebisa
Visit Lingshi Dzong and trek through scenic meadows to Chebisa village.
Day 5 | Chebisa – Shomuthang
Cross Gombu La Pass (4,500m) and trek through forests and valleys rich in wildlife.
Day 6 | Shomuthang – Robluthang
Cross Jari La Pass (4,700m) and descend into a protected wildlife area known for takin sightings.
Day 7 | Robluthang – Limithang
Cross Shinje La Pass (4,900m), the highest point of the trek. Continue through glacial valleys.
Day 8 | Limithang – Laya
Trek to Laya village, one of Bhutan’s highest settlements, known for its unique culture.
Day 9 | Laya Exploration
Rest day to explore the village, interact with locals, and enjoy short hikes.
Day 10 | Laya – Gasa
Short trek followed by a scenic drive to Gasa, marking the end of the trek.
